Drop-in and Walk-in Centers
Visit a Drop-in Center for food or other services, like a shower or medical assistance.
HSH partners offer services at the Mission Neighborhood Resource Center and the Bayview drop-in center.

The Felton Institute operates a drop-in center at 2111 Jennings Street in the Bayview.

The Sixth Street Homeless Storage Facility is located at 74 6th Street.

Resources for Veterans Experiencing Homelessness
HSH offers a variety of services for veterans.
- Veterans can access HSH’s general prevention, shelter, housing, and other resources using the instructions on our website.
- In addition, some housing is set aside for veterans. Swords to Plowshares and the other groups listed below can help connect veterans to HSH’s services.

Veteran’s Administration Downtown Clinic
The San Francisco VA Downtown Clinic offers a wide range of psychosocial and health care services. This comprehensive homeless center offers extensive programs that include outreach, therapy, housing, benefits, and employment.
Crisis and Suicide Prevention
The Veterans Crisis Line connects Veterans in crisis and their families and friends with qualified, caring Department of Veterans Affairs responders through a confidential toll-free hotline, online chat, or text. Veterans and their loved ones can call 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, chat online, or send a text message to 838255 to receive confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Support for deaf and hard of hearing individuals is available.

Other Helpful Resources
Outside HSH’s services, there are many essential services provided by our partners at other City agencies and by nonprofit organizations.
You can access information about food, showers, eviction defense, employment assistance and many more services using the city and regional help lines:
- Call 311 (the City customer service line) for a list of resources near your location.
- Call 211 (the County customer service line) for additional resources. 211 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also visit the 211 website or text your zipcode to 898211.
Additional resources are available for low-income people and people experiencing homelessness
- Fine and fee discounts may be available if you have had an assessment done at an Access Point within the last six months. Ask Access Point staff about free Muni passes, a one-time waiver of tow and storage costs, a one-time waiver of a “boot” fine, and discounted citations. Learn more on the SFMTA website.
- Eviction Defense Collaborative: If you are a low-income family, a single adult, an individual with a disability or a senior, the collaboration offers defense, legal assistance and tenant rights education. Call 415-659-9184 (open 24 hours by phone) or visit evictiondefense.org.
